I officially launched a monthly clean up programme that is set for the 18th of this month and will be a continous monthly exercise to be held the 3rd saturday.This follows a promise we made during my inauguration ceremony .Our long term plan is to have a waste management system and once the county government structures are in place we will ensure the existing by laws are enforced by the county government. I now appeal to all Mombasa residents to take pride in cleaning up the area they live and special organisations like schools,churches and individuals to come out in large numbers on the 18th to clean and plant as many trees as possible. Mji Wetu Wajibu wetu.
